Patna: The Bihar government on Sunday carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 12 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across several key departments.
The changes, approved by the Samrat Choudhary government, include appointments of new additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and departmental secretaries.
Key Departments Get New Administrative Heads
Officials said Anand Kishor had been relieved of the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department.
H R Srinivas has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Social Welfare Department.
Meanwhile, Santosh Kumar Mall has been posted as Principal Secretary of the Disaster Management Department.
Lokesh Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary of the Tourism Department and has additionally been given charge of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education.
Changes In Health, Finance And Energy Departments
Kumar Ravi has been appointed Secretary of the Health Department, while Ajay Yadav will serve as Energy Secretary.
The government has also handed full charge of Finance Department Secretary to Sanjay Kumar Singh.
Kundan Kumar has been relieved from the post of Resident Commissioner at Bihar Bhawan in New Delhi.

Bihar Bhawan, Water Resources And Prison Departments Also Affected
Manoj Kumar Singh has now been appointed Resident Commissioner of Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi.
Pranav Kumar has been named Secretary of the Building Construction Department.
Meanwhile, Chandrashekhar Singh has been posted as Secretary of the Water Resources Department.
Rajneesh Kumar Singh has been appointed Inspector General of Prisons.
