Patna: Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI) has reported a 90% placement rate for its 2026 batch despite what officials described as challenging domestic and global market conditions.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna on Monday, N. Vijayalakshmi said more than 172 students from the institute had secured placements across 45 companies operating in multiple sectors.
Highest Package Reaches Rs 17.35 Lakh
According to the institute, the highest annual package of Rs 17.35 lakh was offered by Monster Beverage Corporation to student Asim Banerjee.
Other major offers included:
- Rs 8 lakh from Tata Consumer Products
- Rs 9 lakh from Indigo Paints
- Rs 7.5 lakh from COMFED
The average annual package for the placement season stood at Rs 6.5 lakh, the institute said.
Companies Across Multiple Sectors Participated
The placement drive saw participation from firms across:
- FMCG
- logistics
- insurance
- consumer products
- wellness and healthcare sectors
Recruiters included:

- Pristine Logistics
- Himalaya Wellness Company
- TCI Express

- Tata AIG
- HDFC Life
- JEEViKA

Institute Says Placements Reflect Quality Of Training
LNMI’s director Dr. N. Vijayalakshmi said the placement outcomes reflected both the efforts of the students and the institute’s academic and professional training framework.
She said:
“This success stands as a testament to the hard work, commitment and talent of our students.”
She added that immediate job offers upon graduation remained a significant milestone for students entering the professional world.
LNMI Highlights Government-Run Institutional Structure
The institute also underlined its status as a fully government-owned institution.
According to officials:
- the Chief Minister serves as Chairperson
- the Higher Education Minister functions as Executive Chairperson
- the Director’s post is held by an IAS officer
LNMI’s Registrar, Sudhir Kumar said the institution aimed to support students not only academically but also through personality development and professional preparedness.
Meanwhile, LNMI’s placement incharge, Preeti Singh said the placements reflected growing corporate confidence in the institute’s students and training standards.
