Darbhanga/Patna:Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University (KSDSU) has formally launched the admission process for the 2026–27 academic session, introducing online admissions through the Samarth Portal for the first time.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lakshmi Niwas Pandey inaugurated the admission process by activating the academic module of the portal on Saturday.
University adopts Samarth Portal for key functions
Speaking at the launch programme, Prof. Pandey said that, in accordance with directions issued by Lok Bhavan, Patna, various academic and administrative functions of the university would be conducted through the Samarth Portal from the 2026–27 session onwards.
He said the university administration would work collectively to ensure smooth implementation of the system and provide students with transparent and accessible services.
Admission applications open until June 28
Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Purendra Warik said notifications for admissions to Upashastri, Shastri and Acharya programmes have been issued.
Students can complete online registration and submit applications through the Samarth Portal within the prescribed dates.
According to Special Officer (Academic) Dr. Ramsevak Jha, applications for Shastri First Semester (2026–30 session) and Acharya First Semester (2026–28 session) will be accepted until June 28, 2026.
Applications for Upashastri First Year (2026–28 session) will be accepted from Monday until June 28, 2026.
Merit list and admission schedule
The university will publish the merit list on June 30 based on applications received through the portal.
Allocation of departments and colleges will be carried out through a merit-based selection process. Verification of documents and payment of admission fees for selected candidates will take place between July 2 and 6.
The university has stated that students admitted to the programmes will be required to attend classes regularly.
Technical support cell established
To assist applicants facing difficulties during the online admission process, the university has set up a dedicated technical support cell at the Office of the Dean of Student Welfare.
Public Relations Officer Dr. Nishikant said students experiencing technical issues can seek assistance through the facility.
Multiple Samarth modules activated
Samarth Nodal Officer Dr. Narottam Mishra said several modules of the portal have been activated at the university.
These include admissions, student life cycle management, payroll, pension, leave management, employee services, legal affairs, RTI, grievance redressal, fleet management, sports, and document archive and retrieval systems.
Officials attend launch programme
The launch event was attended by Registrar Dr. Dinesh Jha, Finance Officer Dr. Pawan Kumar Jha, Deputy Registrar Dr. Naveen Kumar Jha, along with senior academic, administrative and technical officials associated with the implementation of the Samarth Portal.
The university has appealed to eligible students to complete their applications within the stipulated timeline through the online portal.
