Career Awareness Programme on Company Secretary Held at Patna Women’s College

Patna: The Department of Commerce at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized a ‘Career Awareness Programme’ for students of B.Com., AMM, BBA, and B.A. (Hons.) Economics to inform them about career opportunities as a Company Secretary. The resource person for the event was Kumar Navanit, Assistant Director, Directorate of Law, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Head of the Department of Commerce and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management. She emphasized the significance of the professional course offered by ICSI, encouraging students to consider it for future career growth.

Kumar Navanit delivered an in-depth presentation, explaining the pivotal role that company secretaries play in the economy. The session featured a video presentation that inspired the students and highlighted the prestige of pursuing a career as a Company Secretary. Students actively participated and shared positive feedback about the session.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented by CS Shweta Shah, who offered a plant sapling to the resource person. The program wrapped up with the national anthem, marking the end of the successful event.
