Madhubani/Patna: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Bihar Police carried out a joint operation in Madhubani district on Sunday, raiding an alleged illegal slaughterhouse near the Indo-Nepal border and arresting four people.
The operation was conducted at around 5.45 am on July 12 in Partitola village, under the jurisdiction of Laukaha Police Station, following specific intelligence inputs.
Joint Operation Based On Intelligence
According to the SSB, the operation was carried out by personnel of the 18th Battalion under the guidance of Commandant Koja Ram Lamror of the Frontier Headquarters, Patna, and led by Deputy Commandant (Operations) Ajit Singh.
Personnel from the Company Headquarters-cum-Border Outpost (BOP) Laukaha and the Laukaha Police Station also participated in the raid.
The SSB said the area had been kept under surveillance before the operation based on intelligence regarding alleged illegal activities.

Cattle And Suspected Beef Seized
During the raid, the joint team seized:
- 10 cows
- 4 calves
- Around 30 kilograms of suspected beef
The seized material has been handed over to the local police for further investigation.
Four Arrested
The authorities arrested four Indian nationals during the operation, including:
- Maqsood (40)
- Mohammad Shahid (52)
- Mohammad Akbar (15)
- One other individual
All are residents of Partitola village, except for the fourth individual, whose identity has not been disclosed by the authorities.

Investigation Underway
Following the completion of legal formalities, the arrested individuals, seized cattle and suspected beef were handed over to Laukaha Police Station, where further proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the law.
The SSB said it continues to maintain vigilance along the India-Nepal international border and regularly conducts operations to prevent cross-border crime and other illegal activities in the border region.
