Patna: Gold prices remained largely steady on July 17, with only marginal fluctuations recorded across major cities. In Patna, the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs 40 per 10 grams, while silver prices slipped slightly.
According to the latest market rates, 24-carat gold in Patna was priced at Rs 1,43,330 per 10 grams, compared with Rs 1,43,290 a day earlier. Silver, meanwhile, was priced at Rs 2,34,900 per kg, down Rs 100 from the previous session.

- 22-carat gold: Rs 13,134 per gram (down Rs 1)

Silver Declines Across Most Cities
Silver prices softened marginally on Friday.
In Patna, silver was priced at Rs 2,34,900 per kg, down Rs 100 from the previous day. Similar declines were recorded in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ranchi, while Chennai continued to trade at a higher level of Rs 2,39,900 per kg.
MCX Trends
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were trading around 0.08% higher, hovering near Rs 1.40 lakh per 10 grams.
Silver futures, however, slipped around 0.13%, with prices trading near Rs 2.15 lakh per kg, reflecting mild weakness in the precious metals market.
