Silver Rises Rs 2,050 To Rs 2.25 Lakh; Gold Gains Rs 751, Reaches Rs 1.45 Lakh Per 10 Grams

Gold and silver prices rise on July 27, with gold potentially reaching Rs 1.60 lakh per 10 grams by year-end.

Patna: Gold and silver prices rose on July 27, with silver increasing by Rs 2,050 to Rs 2.25 lakh per kilogram and 24-carat gold gaining Rs 751 to Rs 1,44,532 per 10 grams, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).

Gold prices also varied across major cities, with 24-carat gold trading between Rs 1,45,860 and Rs 1,46,040 per 10 grams.

Gold Prices By Purity

The IBJA data showed that 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,44,532 per 10 grams. The corresponding prices for other purities were:

  • 24-carat: Rs 1,44,532
  • 22-carat: Rs 1,32,391
  • 18-carat: Rs 1,08,399
  • 14-carat: Rs 84,551

City-Wise Gold Prices

Among the cities listed, Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow recorded the highest 24-carat gold price at Rs 1,46,040 per 10 grams.

Mumbai, Kolkata and Raipur recorded Rs 1,45,860, while Bhopal, Patna and Ahmedabad recorded Rs 1,45,940.

Gold Up Rs 12,000 In 2026

Gold prices have increased by about Rs 12,000 since the end of 2025. On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold was priced at Rs 1,33,195, compared with Rs 1,44,532 on July 27, according to the IBJA data provided.

Silver, however, has declined from its December 31 level of Rs 2,30,420 per kilogram to Rs 2,24,771 on July 27.

Both precious metals recorded sharp movements during the year. Gold reached a reported high of Rs 1,76,000 per 10 grams, while silver touched Rs 3,86,000 per kilogram on January 29.

Expert Sees Gold At Rs 1.60 Lakh

A commodity expert said gold and silver prices have declined considerably from their recent highs. Investors could consider exposure to the precious metals but should avoid making a lump-sum investment.

The expert expects gold to potentially reach Rs 1.60 lakh per 10 grams and silver to around Rs 2.80 lakh per kilogram by the end of the year.
