Patna: Two of Bihar’s leading rail passenger organisations have agreed to work together to press for improved railway infrastructure and passenger services across the state, including new train services connecting Patna with Delhi and Bengaluru.
The resolution was adopted during the 34th state-level meeting of the Bihar Daily Passenger Association, held at the Gate Public Library & Institute in Patna on Sunday. A delegation from the Bihar Rail Users Association also participated in the meeting.
Phulwarisharif MLA Shyam Rajak attended the event as the chief guest.

Both organisations said they would jointly advocate for better rail connectivity and passenger facilities throughout Bihar.
The meeting included detailed discussions on several pending railway proposals, with participants identifying them as priorities for future engagement with railway authorities.

- Launch of a new Patna–Bengaluru train via the PG Line.
- State government approval for the proposed Patna Suburban Rail Project.
- Expediting work on the proposed Hardinge Park Terminal.

Plan To Raise Demands With Railway Ministry
During the meeting, Shyam Rajak said efforts would be made to pursue these demands with the Union government.
According to the organisers, Rajak and his team plan to meet Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and hold discussions with senior railway officials, including the General Manager, to seek early action on the proposals.
The two organisations said they would continue coordinating their efforts to strengthen Bihar’s railway network and improve travel facilities for passengers across the state.
