Patna: The campus launch of Accenture Innovation Challenge (AIC) 2026 was held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna on August 7, with more than 300 students participating in discussions with Accenture representatives on innovation, technology and problem-solving.
The programme was organised by IIT Patna’s Training and Placement Cell (CCDC). It began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana.
Director Highlights Role Of Innovation
IIT Patna Director Prof T. N. Singh inaugurated the programme in the presence of Accenture representatives and senior institute officials.
Speaking at the event, Singh said innovation is a key foundation of progress. He said the launch reflected a shared vision between IIT Patna and Accenture to encourage students to understand real-world challenges and develop solutions that can create impact at scale.
The director also felicitated Accenture representatives by presenting them with an institute stole and mementos.
Accenture Representatives Interact With Students
Sandhya Rajat Kumar, Shweta Shandilya and Ambareesh Rastogi, along with members of Accenture’s Talent Acquisition and Campus Engagement team, attended the programme.
The representatives explained the objectives and opportunities associated with AIC 2026. They also spoke about the importance of developing innovative and practical solutions in response to changing global needs.
Students participated in an interactive session and raised questions on various aspects of the challenge, its opportunities and innovation-driven problem-solving.
IIT Patna Among Selected Institutions
IIT Patna is among the institutions selected to host the campus launch of AIC 2026. The initiative provides participating students an opportunity to engage with industry professionals and demonstrate their creativity, technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Several senior academic and administrative officials attended the programme, including Dr Mahesh Kolekar, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Dr Rishabh Singh, Associate Chair, CCDC; Dr Ashwani Asam; Dr Arijit Roy; Vijay Kumar, Deputy Registrar (Academic); Dr Praveen Kumar, CEO, TBI; and Kripashankar Singh, TPO, CCDC.
The event concluded with continued interaction between students and Accenture representatives, providing participants an opportunity to learn more about the innovation challenge and its industry-focused objectives.
