Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Sunday inaugurated the three-day Jewellery Festival 2026 at Gyan Bhawan, located within the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre complex in Patna.
The festival, organised by the Swarnkar Samaj Vikas Evam Shodh Sansthan, will continue until September 1. Around 200 jewellery manufacturers associated with the organisation have set up stalls at the event, representing different parts of the country.
CM Visits Jewellery Stalls
After inaugurating the festival by lighting the ceremonial lamp, Choudhary visited the stalls set up at the Convention Hall on the ground floor of Gyan Bhawan.
The Chief Minister viewed various jewellery products on display and interacted with the participating manufacturers to learn about their products and businesses.
Addressing the participants, Choudhary encouraged them to conduct their businesses freely and assured them that necessary facilities and support would be made available.
Manufacturers From Across India Participate
Jewellery manufacturers from Kota, Agra, Surat, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Lucknow and Kolkata, among other cities, are participating in the festival.
The event provides jewellery manufacturers and traders an opportunity to showcase their products while interacting with industry members and exchanging experiences and business insights.
During the programme, representatives of the Swarnkar Samaj Vikas Evam Shodh Sansthan welcomed the Chief Minister and presented him with a bouquet and angavastram.
MLA Rana Randhir Singh, office-bearers of the Swarnkar Samaj Vikas Evam Shodh Sansthan, jewellery manufacturers and a large number of people associated with the industry were present at the event.
