Patna: The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) will start a daily non-AC bus service between Delhi and Kishanganj on November 5, offering passengers an additional travel option during the Diwali and Chhath festive season. The service will operate until November 25, with the one-way fare set at Rs 2,000.
The initiative comes as demand for travel to Bihar rises during the festive period, when passengers often face crowded trains and long waiting lists for confirmed tickets.
Delhi–Kishanganj Bus Route
According to information provided by the BSRTC, the bus will connect Delhi with Kishanganj via Agra and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Sonpur, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Purnia in Bihar.
The journey between Delhi and Kishanganj is expected to take approximately 30 hours. The service will operate daily throughout the announced period, providing an alternative for passengers travelling between the national capital and north-eastern Bihar.
Ticket Fare And Travel Duration
The one-way fare for the non-AC bus has been fixed at Rs 2,000 per passenger. The service is intended to cater to people travelling to Bihar from Delhi and neighbouring states, including Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
With rail services facing increased demand during the festive season, the additional bus connection could offer passengers another option for reaching their destinations.
Service Schedule During The Festive Season
The service will run from November 5 to November 25, covering the period around Diwali and Chhath. Passengers planning to travel during these dates can consider the bus as an alternative to train services.
Travellers should check the latest departure timings, boarding points and ticket-booking arrangements with the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation before making their travel plans.
