Begusarai: In a boost to Bihar’s textile ambitions, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL), part of the Aditya Birla Group, is set to establish an ethnic women’s wear manufacturing unit at the Industrial Growth Centre in Begusarai.
Under the state’s “plug and play” infrastructure scheme, the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has allotted 96,000 square feet of ready-to-use industrial space to ABFRL. The project, with an investment of Rs 35 crore, is expected to generate around 750 jobs in the region.
Officials from ABFRL have commended the Bihar government’s swift and transparent processes. In a formal communication, the company praised the professionalism and cooperation extended by the Department of Industries and BIADA, highlighting the efficient facilitation of approvals and land allocation.
State authorities view the entry of ABFRL into Bihar’s textile sector as a significant milestone in their efforts to position the state as a major hub for textile and garment manufacturing.
