Patna: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) will host the Agri Udaan 8.0 Food and Agribusiness Accelerator Roadshow, also described as a start-up hunt, on December 23, bringing national-level investors, mentors, and policymakers together to scout promising agri-startups from Bihar.
The event is being organised by the Association for Innovation Development of Entrepreneurship in Agriculture (a-IDEA) in collaboration with ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, as part of Agri Udaan 8.0, India’s flagship agribusiness accelerator supported by NABARD.

The programme is designed to nurture innovation in agriculture and allied sectors by providing selected startups with structured mentoring, access to funding networks, and exposure to policy stakeholders. It focuses on ventures working across areas such as agri-technology, food processing, supply chain management, precision farming, and sustainable rural solutions.
Shri Pankaj Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Bihar, will attend the event as the chief guest. The roadshow will be hosted by Dr Ranjit Kumar, chief executive officer of a-IDEA and principal scientist at ICAR-NAARM.
Addressing the objectives of the initiative, Dr Kumar said the roadshow was not limited to information dissemination but aimed at identifying scalable innovations with the potential to strengthen India’s agricultural value chain and rural economy.
The Patna roadshow forms part of a nationwide outreach under Agri Udaan 8.0, which seeks to widen participation from underrepresented regions and connect early- and growth-stage startups with institutional support at the national level.
