Organised by the Department of Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Critical Care, the programme included a walkathon, a street play and academic sessions focused on pain relief, symptom management and holistic patient support.

The activities emphasised that palliative care goes beyond treating a disease. It also addresses patients’ physical, psychological and emotional needs while providing support to their families.

Walkathon And Street Play Promote Palliative Care Awareness

The walkathon and street play were organised to improve public understanding of palliative care and its role in healthcare.

The academic discussions highlighted how appropriate symptom management and pain relief can improve the quality of life of patients with serious illnesses.
