Patna: Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command, paid a courtesy call on Bihar Governor Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd.) in Patna on Friday, with discussions focusing on civil-military cooperation and coordination between the Indian Air Force and the Bihar government.
Bihta Air Station Discussed
The two sides discussed the potential for the future joint use of the Air Force Station at Bihta, including aspects of cooperation and coordination in this regard.
Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry briefed the Governor on progress on various issues involving the Indian Air Force and the state administration. Views were also exchanged on improving coordination between the two institutions.
Chaudhry invited the Governor to visit the Air Force Station at Bihta. During the proposed visit, the Governor would be briefed on Air Force activities and various aspects related to the station.
Focus On Disaster Response
The meeting also covered measures to strengthen relief and response preparedness during disasters.
The discussions focused particularly on improving coordination during disaster management and relief operations in disaster-prone areas such as Bihar. Both sides discussed strengthening institutional cooperation so that the state administration and the Indian Air Force can coordinate more effectively during emergencies.
Regional security and public welfare were also among the issues discussed during the meeting.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to maintaining continuous coordination and strengthening institutional cooperation between the Indian Air Force and the Bihar government.
