Sitamarhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at a rally in Belsand, Sitamarhi, vowed that any aggression from Pakistan would be met with a strong response, claiming that shells manufactured in Bihar would be used in retaliation.
Shah outlined several development initiatives for the region, including the creation of an industrial park spanning 505 acres, which he said would generate employment opportunities for thousands of local youth. He also announced plans to construct a memorial in Belsand honoring 24 freedom fighters and highlighted an allocation of Rs 11,000 crore for flood relief measures.
Criticising the opposition, Shah accused Congress leaders of failing to respond to cross-border terrorism in the past. He cited the Pahalgam attack as an example, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi retaliated with Operation Sindoor.
“If a bullet is fired from Pakistan, it will be answered with shells fired from here,” Shah said. “Once the Defence Corridor is established, these shells will be manufactured in Bihar.”
Shah also made a controversial comment regarding Rahul Gandhi, claiming he had insulted Chhath Mata while criticising the Prime Minister.
