Patna: Amity University Patna commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor on Wednesday with a ceremonial event organised in collaboration with the Bihar Regiment Centre Danapur.
Held at a private banquet hall in Patna, the programme brought together members of the academic community, defence personnel and students in a tribute to the armed forces.
Army Band Performance
A central highlight of the event was a performance by the Indian Army Band led by Subedar Pargat Singh.
The band performed patriotic compositions including Maa Tujhe Salaam, Jai Ho and Sare Jahan Se Achha, drawing applause from the audience and creating an atmosphere of remembrance and national pride.
Tribute To Soldiers
The ceremony also featured a special audiovisual presentation on Operation Sindoor, focusing on the role and sacrifices of armed forces personnel.
Attendees responded with standing ovations during the programme, which organisers said was intended to strengthen public appreciation for military service and sacrifice.
University’s Commitment
Addressing the gathering, Vivekanand Pandey said the event was a reminder of the courage and commitment of soldiers serving on the nation’s borders.
He also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting the families of serving and retired armed forces personnel.
Collaboration Between Academia And Defence
Organisers said the event aimed to foster civic responsibility and strengthen engagement between educational institutions and the defence community.
The university stated that it would continue initiatives focused on promoting patriotism, public awareness and recognition of the armed forces’ contributions.
