Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Patna on Thursday, where he will participate in a roadshow ahead of the Bihar cabinet expansion ceremony.

The visit comes amid heightened political activity surrounding the expansion of the cabinet led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Senior Leaders To Accompany PM

According to officials, the prime minister will be accompanied during the roadshow by former chief minister Nitish Kumar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Nitin Nabin.

The presence of multiple senior NDA leaders has added to the political significance of the event.

Roadshow Route Through Central Patna

Authorities said the roadshow will begin from the airport area and proceed via Harding Road, Beerchand Patel Path and Income Tax Golambar before concluding at Gandhi Maidan.

Large crowds are expected along the route, prompting extensive security arrangements and traffic restrictions across central Patna.

First Patna Visit In Months

PM Modi is returning to Patna after nearly six months. His last major public appearance in the city was on November 20, when he attended a swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan.

Officials said the prime minister is expected to arrive around 10am, while the roadshow is scheduled between 12.05pm and 1.30pm.

Security Tightened

The Patna Police and district administration have placed the city on high alert ahead of the visit.

Special security deployments, barricading and traffic diversions have been arranged along the entire roadshow corridor to ensure smooth movement during the event.
