Patna: Daily grind, spirituality and creative exploration were on display at an annual photography exhibition hosted by students at Patna Women’s College, where images capturing themes of faith, learning and urban life drew visitors and praise.
The exhibition, titled Kaleidoscope 2026 and organised by the college’s Department of English Communication and Media, showcased three distinct collections. Land of Buddha featured photographs from an educational trip by second- and third-year students to Bodh Gaya on February 7, portraying scenes inspired by the region’s spiritual and historical significance. Another section, The Learning Curve, displayed images taken by first-year students as part of an exercise in basic photography techniques. A third theme, Patna Panorama, highlighted facets of city life, ranging from bustling streets to quieter everyday moments.

Students explained the technical and narrative aspects of their work to visitors, discussing composition and the stories behind the images. The exhibition was inaugurated earlier in the day by Principal Dr Sister M. Rashmi, after which audiences began arriving to view and evaluate the photographs. Attendees included students and faculty from multiple departments, many of whom commended the range of perspectives captured through the lens.
The event underscored the college’s emphasis on experiential learning and creative expression, offering students an opportunity to present visual narratives alongside technical insights. Photography and media expert Frank Krishner served as anchor for the exhibition and provided guidance, which organisers credited as a significant factor in its success.
The annual event forms part of the college’s broader effort to integrate artistic exploration with academic development, allowing students to experiment with storytelling in visual form while engaging with wider audiences.
