Aurangabad/Patna: The district police lines ground in Aurangabad witnessed the passing out parade of 412 trainee police personnel on Friday, marking the completion of their training and formal induction into service.
The recruits took an oath to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and a commitment to public service during the graduation ceremony.
Vikas Vaibhav, Magadh range Inspector General (IG) of Police, attended the event as chief guest. Senior district officials, including Aurangabad SP Ambrish Rahul, were also present.
Families attend ceremony
A large number of family members of the recruits attended the ceremony and watched the parade, many expressing pride as they saw their children in uniform.
Officials said the 412 personnel had undergone specialised training at the district police centre before completing their final parade.
The event began with IG Vikas Vaibhav inspecting the parade, followed by the oath-taking ceremony. The recruits presented a ceremonial salute through a disciplined march-past.
Certificates of commendation were also awarded to trainees who performed well during the training period.

Officers stress public trust
Addressing the recruits, Vikas Vaibhav said the day marked not only an achievement but also the beginning of a larger responsibility.
He said the personnel had successfully completed a demanding training process and now carried the responsibility of maintaining law and order and strengthening public trust in policing.
He said policing was not merely a profession but a service, adding that citizens often assess governance and administration through their interactions with the police.
Focus on security and confidence
The IG said the role of police would remain important in the broader goal of national development and in creating an environment of safety and trust.
He said public confidence in policing was essential for social stability and economic growth, particularly as Bihar seeks to attract more investment.
Superintendent of Police Ambrish Rahul also congratulated the recruits and urged them to uphold the discipline and values learned during training in their service careers.
