Patna: Women voters participated in large numbers in the Bankipur Assembly by-election on Thursday, with long queues visible at several polling stations from the morning. Many women said they cast their votes after considering issues such as security, good governance, quality education and the future of their children.
Polling stations, including Bankipur Girls’ High School and St Xavier’s School, recorded a strong turnout among women, with female voters outnumbering men at several locations. While some women completed household responsibilities before heading to vote, others chose to cast their ballots first before beginning their daily routine.
