Patna: Independence Day was celebrated at Bapu Tower in Gardanibagh, Patna, on August 15, with Building Construction Department Secretary Pranav Kumar hoisting the national flag.
Addressing officials and staff at the ceremony, Kumar said Independence Day provides a collective opportunity to remember and commemorate the values associated with the country’s freedom.
Library Inaugurated
Kumar also inaugurated a newly constructed library at the Bapu Tower complex by cutting a ribbon. The facility has now been opened to the general public and readers.

According to Bapu Tower Director Vinay Kumar, the library has a collection of hundreds of books on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy and ideas.
The library also houses books covering the art, history and culture of Bihar and India. The facility is expected to support students and researchers.
Officials and staff of Bapu Tower, along with other attendees, were present at the Independence Day ceremony.
