Begusarai: Two women miraculously escaped unharmed after lying down on railway tracks as a moving goods train passed over them at Begusarai station, leaving passengers and onlookers in shock.
A dramatic incident unfolded on Tuesday evening when a woman and a young girl attempted to cross from platform 1 to platform 2 by walking along the railway track instead of using the footbridge. A goods train was already stationed on the track, and as they tried to crawl underneath it, the train suddenly received a green signal and began to move.
A railway jawan stationed nearby shouted at the pair, instructing them to lie flat on the ground. They obeyed, and the train thundered above them as a crowd of horrified passengers gathered on both platforms. When the train finally cleared, the women stood up without so much as a scratch, sparking relief and celebration among onlookers.
Railway officials confirmed that repeated announcements had been made over the public address system, warning passengers not to cross the tracks and urging them to use the bridge instead. The incident has since gone viral on social media, highlighting both the dangers of track-crossing and the extraordinary luck of the two survivors.
