Ara/Patna: A major Mahapanchayat is being held in Bilauti village in Bihar’s Bhojpur district today, with organisers expecting thousands of people to gather in support of demands for justice in the Bharat Bhushan Tiwari case.

The meeting comes amid continuing calls for accountability following Tiwari’s death in a police encounter, an incident that has sparked debate across the region and become the focus of a growing social and legal campaign.

Organisers say the gathering will bring together social organisations, legal professionals, community leaders and public representatives to discuss the future direction of the movement and formulate a strategy for pursuing justice for Tiwari’s family.

Participants Expected From Across India

According to the organising committee, attendees are expected from several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

A large number of social activists, youth groups and representatives of various community organisations are also expected to participate. Organisers describe the event as one of the largest public mobilisations linked to the case since Tiwari’s death.

Legal Strategy To Be Discussed

The Mahapanchayat is expected to focus heavily on the legal dimensions of the case. Senior advocates and legal experts have been invited to address participants and discuss possible avenues available within the judicial system.

Lawyers associated with the High Court and other courts are expected to share their assessment of the case and help frame a legal strategy aimed at securing justice for the family.

Organisers say the gathering is intended not only to express public solidarity but also to provide direction for the legal battle ahead.

Social And Religious Organisations To Attend

Representatives from a range of social and religious organisations are expected to attend the event, including the Karni Sena, Parashuram Mahasabha, Hindu Mahasabha, Brahmin Mahasabha and Hindu Jagran Manch.

Office-bearers from these groups are likely to address the gathering and outline their views on the judicial process and the broader issues raised by the case.

While some political leaders and party workers may also be present, organisers insist that the primary objective of the event is to strengthen the campaign for justice rather than advance any political agenda.

Extensive Preparations Underway

A large orchard near the Buxar-Ara four-lane highway in Bilauti village has been selected as the venue for the gathering.

Preparations include the construction of a large pandal, a stage, drinking water facilities, food arrangements and parking areas. Teams of volunteers have been deployed to assist visitors arriving from outside the district.

Organisers estimate that attendance could range from 5,000 to more than 10,000 people. Local residents and community groups have also been involved in preparations, reflecting the level of interest the event has generated in the area.

Decisions May Shape Future Of Campaign

Several local activists and social leaders have played a key role in organising the event, including Pankaj Tripathi of Bilauti village, Anjani Tiwari and Raja Tiwari of the Parashuram Mahasabha, and Raju Ojha, National President of the Bhojpuri Samaj.

They say the Mahapanchayat is intended to strengthen public support for the demand for justice and help participants arrive at a collective decision on the future course of action.
