Patna: Neelam Giri, the Bhojpuri actor known for her roles in television and film, is among the contestants this season on Bigg Boss 19. Speaking exclusively, Giri said she has no predefined strategy for the show but is ready to confront anyone who crosses her.
“I don’t have a strategy as such, but I am prepared to fight if someone wrongs me. I can’t accept unfair things. I like genuine people and hope people are nice here,” she said. “Ungli karenge toh ungli toot jaayegi, chhedega toh chhodege nahi.”
The self-made actor expressed excitement at being part of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. “I like him in every aspect, not just as a host. I believe half of the audience watches us only because they want to watch him. He’s my favourite actor,” she added.
Giri drew inspiration from previous Bhojpuri stars who have left their mark on the show, including Mona Lisa, Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari. “I take inspiration from them all for different reasons,” she said.
Reflecting on the evolution of Bhojpuri entertainment, Giri noted significant changes in production styles. “A lot has changed in the industry. Earlier, we used to do four to five songs a day, but now we work on one song for two days. It’s a good thing that things are changing. Working in Bhojpuri cinema now feels like working in Bollywood,” she said.
