Patna: The Bihar Police Headquarters has issued new official mobile numbers for senior and local police officers across Patna district, in a move aimed at improving public access and speeding up the resolution of complaints.
The revised contact list includes the Inspector General (IG) of Patna Range, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Central, East, West and Rural SPs, as well as officers in charge of traffic, crime, law and order, and administrative functions.

Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Circle Inspectors, and Thanedars (station in-charges) have also been assigned new numbers. Residents can now contact the relevant officer directly for assistance, rather than going through lengthy procedures at police stations.
Police officials said the initiative is intended to make the system more transparent and accountable while increasing public trust. “This step will enable faster resolution of complaints and improve the efficiency of police administration,” a spokesperson from the headquarters said.
