Patna: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Patna will host a Passport Seva Mobile Van Camp at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) from August 26 to 27, providing on-site passport services for the institute’s teachers and staff.
The camp, part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ “Passport at Your Doorstep” initiative, will be inaugurated by RPO Patna officer Swadha Rizvi alongside NIFT Patna director Colonel Rahul Sharma.

The mobile van programme, which has previously been held across ten districts and institutions including the Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya, and AIIMS Patna, aims to make passport application processes more accessible for citizens.
Fresh applications and passport re-issues will be accepted at the camp, with 55 appointment slots available each day. Applicants must register online, complete their forms, pay the prescribed fee, and bring both the original documents and self-attested photocopies for verification. Services such as Tatkal applications, police clearance certificates, or applications without prior appointment will not be accepted.
The RPO Patna has emphasised its commitment to continue providing mobile passport services to improve convenience for applicants in the future. More details are available at www.passportindia.gov.in.
