Gayaji: A heartbreaking incident has struck Dadnapur village in Gayaji district, Bihar, where a second road accident in just a few days claimed more lives from the same family. On Monday morning, an ambulance bringing home the body of Varun Kumar, who had died in a road accident on 8 August, crashed in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh.
The ambulance was carrying six people, including Varun’s wife Shweta Sinha (37), sister-in-law Baby Devi (42), younger brother Nirbhay Kumar, the driver, and another staff member. Around 6am, near Bhadohi, the driver is believed to have fallen asleep and hit a container parked on the roadside. The collision was so strong that the ambulance was badly damaged.
Shweta Sinha, Baby Devi, and the driver died on the spot. Nirbhay Kumar was seriously injured, and the ambulance cleaner also suffered injuries. Both are being treated in hospital. The Uttar Pradesh police have sent the bodies for postmortem and provided medical help to the injured.
The accident has left Varun Kumar’s two young children without both parents in just three days. The entire Dadnapur village is in shock, and locals are asking the Bihar government to give proper help and support to the children. Funeral arrangements will take place once the relatives return with the bodies.
