Patna: A meeting was held via video conference on Wednesday to address issues affecting aircraft operations at Bihta Airport, with Principal Secretary of the Home Department Pankaj Kumar chairing the meeting.
During the meeting, Group Captain Ashwini Kumar, representing Air Force Station, Bihta, raised several issues related to ensuring smooth aircraft operations.
Runway Approach And Construction Issues
The meeting discussed the identification of unauthorised constructions within the runway’s approach funnel at Bihta Airport.
Officials also reviewed construction activities within a 100-metre radius of the outer perimeter wall of the Air Force Station.
The meeting further considered issues related to the encroachment and obstruction of monsoon drains by local villagers and measures required to resolve them.

Defence Land And Power Supply
Administrative support for allotting land adjacent to the Air Force Station and the mutation of defence land was also discussed.
Another issue on the agenda was the dedication of the newly constructed 33 KV feeder line to the Air Force Station.
Officials Directed To Expedite Action
Pankaj Kumar directed the concerned departments and officials to take necessary action on the issues discussed and ensure their speedy resolution.
He emphasised better coordination among the agencies concerned and called for the prompt disposal of pending matters.
Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order and Weaker Sections Division) K. Suhita Anupam, Special Secretary Kshatranil Singh and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
