Chapra: In a tragic accident in three children, including siblings, drowned after falling into a river while crossing a bamboo culvert. The incident occurred on Saturday in Laganpura village under the jurisdiction of Bheldi police station.
The victims have been identified as Noor Alam, son of Mansoor Ansari; Sagupata Khatoon, daughter of Mansoor; and Saira Bano, daughter of Naseem Ansari. Reports indicate that the river water had risen, submerging the culvert. While crossing, one child slipped and fell into the river. In an attempt to save him, the other two children jumped in, but all three tragically drowned.
Local villagers assisted the police in recovering the bodies, which were later sent for postmortem. The village is in deep mourning, with family members devastated by the loss.
