Chhapra: In Bihar’s Chhapra district, police raided a liquor and dance party organised by a sub-inspector at his rented house. The incident happened on Saturday night near Janata Bazar police station, where the officer himself worked. Even though alcohol is banned in Bihar, liquor was being served at the party and dancers were called to perform.
Neighbours were troubled by the loud music and noise from the party. Someone informed the police headquarters about it. Soon after, Ekma SDPO and his team reached the spot to raid the house. As soon as the police arrived, sub-inspector Arvind Kumar ran away to save himself. The dancers also managed to escape through the back door.
Police arrested three men from the party. Two of them were drunk. All three are from Rohtas district. According to Janata Bazar police station in-charge Tuntun Kumar, the party was organised by Arvind Kumar who has been posted there for three years and lives nearby in a rented house.
Meanwhile, an obscene audio clip of Arvind Kumar talking to the dancers has gone viral on social media, but police have not confirmed its authenticity. The search for the absconding officer is still on, while locals are shocked that the person responsible for enforcing the liquor ban was himself hosting a liquor party.
