Barh: A Mahindra Finance employee was brutally assaulted in Bihar’s Barh area after he went to collect an outstanding vehicle installment. Shubham Mishra, a resident of Aurangabad, had been posted at the Barh branch two months ago. The attack took place when he visited the house of Jitendra Kumar Singh in Pachhiyari Malahi village to recover the due payment for a Scorpio.
Jitendra Kumar Singh had deposited only 14 installments out of the five-year payment schedule. The family became furious when Shubham demanded the pending installment. Four people, including two women, attacked him with sticks and pistol butts, causing severe head injuries. His helmet and mobile phone were smashed in the attack. Shubham fainted during the assault but was reportedly beaten even after regaining consciousness.
He managed to escape with the help of two villagers and received treatment at the sub-divisional hospital before filing a complaint at Barh police station. Police confirmed they have received the application and will register an FIR. Shubham alleged he was also threatened with death if he reported the incident to the police.
