Patna: The Bihar government has launched a new “Strategy Room” and “Command and Control Center” to make policy-making faster, easier, and more transparent. The new system, set up at the Planning and Development Department in Patna, was inaugurated by the department’s minister, Bijendra Prasad Yadav.
This digital platform will allow government officials to access information about all 45 state departments with just one click. It works through a large dashboard that shows data in the form of text, graphs, pie charts and line charts. The system also allows users to apply filters and customise the way they view the data.
A special feature of this setup is a chatbot called Ask Chanakya. Officials can type or speak questions in Hindi or English, and the chatbot will reply using the data available. There are also kiosks where people can scan QR codes to get more information, and a secure local server ensures that the data stays protected.
The Command and Control Center will also help monitor the DRCC centres across Bihar, which operate under the Chief Minister’s Seven Nischay Scheme. Minister Yadav said this system will help the government make better and faster decisions, and will improve the way development work is planned and tracked in Bihar.
