Patna: In an ambitious move to streamline land-related services, the Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Department is set to launch a special state-wide campaign from August 16 to September 20, focusing on transparency, accessibility, and speedy disposal of land-related issues.
During the campaign, officials will go door-to-door to distribute copies of digitised jamabandi and application forms. These will be followed by camps at the Halka level to collect applications related to digitisation errors, missed jamabandi entries, inheritance transfers, and partition transfers.
To ensure widespread public engagement and smoother coordination, the department has scheduled a joint preparatory meeting on August 10 at the Revenue (Survey) Training Institute, Shastrinagar, Patna. The meeting, to be chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Singh, will bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from Panchayat bodies and various revenue and land reform associations.
Invited organisations include the Bihar Administrative Service Association, Bihar Revenue Service Association, United Revenue Service Association, Assistant Settlement Officer Association, Mukhiya Sangh, Panch-Sarpanch Sangh, Gram Kachhari Secretary Association, Panchayat Secretary Association, Bihar Revenue Amin Association, Bihar State Land Reform Employees Association, and others.
Suggestions will be sought from all participants to ensure the Maha Abhiyan is executed in a coordinated, robust and effective manner, delivering much-needed reforms and redressal mechanisms in land services across Bihar.
