Bettiah: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his final rally for the Bihar Assembly elections in Bettiah on Saturday, marking the conclusion of his campaign ahead of the poll’s final phase. Addressing a large gathering, PM Modi reflected on his campaign journey, noting that he began it with the blessings of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpuri Thakur at his birthplace and was concluding it “on the sacred land of Champaran, where Bapu’s Satyagraha began.”

“This is my last rally for this assembly election,” he said. “Now, I will come to Patna to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government.” Campaigning for the Bihar elections will officially conclude on Sunday evening.

चंपारण समेत पूरे बिहार को भरोसा है कि NDA जो कहता है, वो करके दिखाता है। बेतिया में मिले विशाल जन-आशीर्वाद के सामने नतमस्तक हूं।

Modi Targets RJD, Warns Against Return of ‘Jungle Raj’

In his address, Modi launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leader, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, accusing them of bringing back memories of “Jungle Raj”. “The people of Jungle Raj had turned this sacred land of Satyagraha into a stronghold of goons and dacoits,” Modi said. “Massacres occurred daily, and it was difficult for sisters and daughters to step out of their homes. Where the rule of law ends, the poor and deprived suffer first. Where guns and extortion rule, the dreams of youth are destroyed.”

He ended his speech with the slogan, “We don’t want a gun government, we want an NDA government once again.”

Campaigning Draws to a Close

Electioneering for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will end on Sunday evening, after which candidates will no longer be allowed to hold public meetings.

The polls are being conducted in two phases — voting for the first phase was held on November 6 across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. The second phase, covering 122 constituencies in 20 districts, is scheduled for November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.
