Patna: Ahead of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that preparations across all polling locations in the city are “fully on track and in their final stage.”
Voting will take place on November 6 in four Assembly constituencies within the municipal limits — Patna Sahib, Kumhrar, Digha and Bankipur. According to officials, around 1,833 booths across six civic circles will be used by voters on polling day.

Following directions from the Municipal Commissioner, teams have been tasked with intensive cleaning of internal and external premises of all polling stations, including approach roads and surrounding areas. Special drives have been carried out for garbage removal, dust cleaning, fogging operations and anti-larval treatment.
The corporation said that adequate drinking water arrangements are being made at every location. “Where polling booths are housed outside school premises, additional lighting is being installed to ensure safe access,” an official said.

PMC teams, the statement added, are working round the clock to ensure that citizens can vote “in a clean, healthy and well-maintained environment.”
