West Champaran: Hundreds of supporters gathered at Jagdishpur Middle School on Friday for Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Bihar Badlaav Sabha, expecting the political strategist-turned-activist to address them. However, Kishor, popularly known as PK, was unable to attend the event due to time constraints.
According to organisers, the crowd had assembled from 11am onwards, waiting eagerly for Kishor’s arrival. Instead of addressing the gathering, his convoy passed through Jagdishpur Chowk, where he waved to supporters during a brief roadshow before continuing towards Bettiah.

Local Jan Suraaj coordinator Santosh Chaudhary said Kishor’s visit would be rescheduled soon. “He wanted to meet the people of Jagdishpur, but due to a packed itinerary, it wasn’t possible today,” Chaudhary said.
Kishor’s road journey reportedly began in Gopalganj and covered several stops, including Mangalpur, Noutan Math, Noutan Bazaar, Banhaura, Bardaha, Maniyari and Murtia, before reaching Jagdishpur.

Meanwhile, in Sikta, women from the JEEViKA self-help network organised a voter awareness rally to encourage participation in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Led by BPM Sumit Bachchan, the rally featured slogans such as “Bihar ka tab hoga utthaan, jab hum sab karenge matdaan” (Bihar will rise only when we all vote) and “Ek saath booth par jaayi, sabse pahile vote giraayi” (Let’s go together to vote first).
The event was flagged off by Block Development Officer Ajit Kumar Raushan, Circle Officer-in-Charge Ashok Kumar, and BEO Sanjay Kumar Singh. Several JEEViKA Didis — including Sushila Devi, Bhagirati Devi, Pushpa Devi and Renu Devi — participated, marching through local markets and villages to spread awareness.
