Patna: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has been formally declared the chief ministerial candidate of Bihar’s Grand Alliance, setting the stage for a renewed phase of political activity in the state ahead of the assembly elections.
The announcement came on Thursday at a modest press conference in Patna, where senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot confirmed Yadav as the alliance’s CM face. Following the declaration, Yadav is set to launch his campaign on Friday, with a series of rallies planned across the state by both road and air. He will depart from former Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s residence at 9:30am and is expected to return to Patna after 6pm.

Political activity in Bihar has been intensifying in recent weeks. Leaders from the ruling NDA, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, have been holding multiple rallies daily, while major figures from the Grand Alliance had yet to take to the campaign trail.
