Patna: Voting for the second and final phase of the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections has begun amid high voter enthusiasm. People have been queuing up since early morning to cast their votes. Today’s polling will decide the fate of 1,302 candidates contesting across 122 constituencies in 20 districts, including 12 sitting ministers.

10.30 AM – Bagaha: Nearly 15,000 voters across 22 villages in the Ramnagar Assembly constituency in West Champaran district have boycotted voting. Reports indicate that not a single voter turned up at 18 polling booths in the area. The villagers have refused to cast their votes, demanding basic infrastructure such as bridges, roads, schools, and electricity.
10 AM – An FIR has been registered against independent candidate Vivek Kumar, also known as W Bhaiya, from Sasaram for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
Rohtas Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar confirmed the development, stating that the case has been filed under the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct.
Vivek Kumar is reportedly the brother-in-law of Sasaram Municipal Corporation Mayor Kajal Kumari.

9 AM — Pappu Yadav Alleges Voters Being Prevented from Entering Booths
Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has accused the local administration of stopping voters from entering polling booths numbered 45 and 49. “Voters are being lathi-charged. I spoke to the District Magistrate. What’s happening right now is wrong,” Yadav said.
He added, “Maintain the good traditions of democracy. I only know that whoever stands with Seemanchal and Kosi will form the next government.”
