Patna: Bihar is set for a politically charged “Super Sunday” as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lead parallel election campaigns across the state, just days ahead of the first phase of voting.
Prime Minister Modi will hold a grand road show in Patna this evening, beginning at 5 p.m. from Dinkar Golambar and ending at Udyog Bhawan near Gandhi Maidan. The 1.6-kilometre-long route will pass through Nala Road, Thakurbari, Bari Path, and Bakarganj, with tight security arrangements in place. The road show, expected to draw massive crowds, aims to drum up support for NDA candidates in the state capital.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will address two major rallies in north Bihar. His first stop will be at the Sona Chimney Ground in Begusarai at 12:30 p.m., followed by a rally at JNKT Inter School Ground in Khagaria at 2:15 p.m. The Congress is counting on his presence to energise the party’s campaign and consolidate its voter base in these key constituencies.
This marks Rahul Gandhi’s return to Bihar’s campaign trail after his rallies in Sakra, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga alongside Tejashwi Yadav, and solo events in Bihar Sharif and Sheikhpura where he criticised both the central and state governments.
With both national leaders campaigning simultaneously, Sunday’s events are being seen as a symbolic face-off between the NDA and the Grand Alliance — a test of strength, strategy, and public sentiment in the final stretch of Bihar’s high-stakes election.
