Patna: Vishwakarma Puja was organised by the Bihar Energy sector at the State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC), operated under the Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), and at the BREDA office located at Akshay Urja Bhawan in Board Colony, Patna.
The puja was conducted with traditional rituals to worship Lord Vishwakarma, regarded as the divine architect and craftsman. Senior officials and employees of SLDC and the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) participated in the programme.
Senior Officials Participate
Bihar Energy Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of BSPHCL Ajay Yadav attended the programme along with senior officials of the state’s power companies.
The participants included North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited Managing Director Rahul Kumar, Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited Managing Director Dr Nawal Kishore Choudhary, South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited Managing Director Saurabh Jorwal and Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited Managing Director Vishal Raj.
Senior officials and employees of SLDC and BREDA also participated in the worship and extended Vishwakarma Puja greetings to the employees.
Commitment To Reliable Electricity Supply
Yadav said Lord Vishwakarma represents work and craftsmanship. He said the Energy sector was reaffirming its commitment to ensuring safe, reliable and quality electricity supply in Bihar, along with promoting renewable energy sources.
While extending Vishwakarma Puja greetings, Yadav said officials and employees had contributed to the development of Bihar’s energy sector through dedication, discipline and team spirit.
SLDC’s Role In Bihar’s Power System
The State Load Despatch Centre plays a key role in the operation, monitoring and control of Bihar’s power system. It works continuously to support uninterrupted electricity supply across the state.
BREDA, meanwhile, is working in the field of renewable energy, with the aim of helping Bihar become self-reliant in green energy.
The Vishwakarma Puja programme brought together officials and employees associated with Bihar’s power and renewable energy institutions, with the occasion also highlighting their role in the state’s energy sector.
