Patna: Bihar’s Chief Secretary, Pratyaya Amrit convened a high-level meeting on Monday to review the ongoing ‘Agri Stack’ initiative and the state’s Farmer Registration Campaign. The session examined progress from the campaign’s first phase, conducted by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department and the Agriculture Department between January 6 and 11.
During the review, Amrit commended District Magistrates for their efforts in implementing the campaign and stressed the importance of incorporating feedback from officials at the local level. “This experience will serve as a milestone for making the next phase even more effective,” he said.
The Chief Secretary also highlighted technical difficulties encountered on the registration portal, instructing the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to resolve all software and data-entry issues immediately to ensure farmers face no obstacles during registration.
Key directives issued include making the registration process continuous beyond the campaign period, preparing a special action plan to increase registration numbers in the next phase, and simplifying procedures based on district-level suggestions.
Senior officials from the Revenue and Land Reforms and Agriculture Departments presented data on the campaign’s initial week and identified areas for improvement. The meeting was attended by principal secretaries, secretaries of the concerned departments, and other senior officials.
