Patna: The Bihar Health Department has posted 792 Dressers, 644 X-ray Technicians and 24 Pharmacists to various government health institutions across the state following their selection on the recommendation of the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC).
The appointments are aimed at addressing shortages of technical personnel in medical colleges and hospitals, district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, Community Health Centres (CHCs), referral hospitals and other government health institutions.
792 Dressers, 644 X-Ray Technicians Posted
Of the 792 Dressers posted, 135 are women and 657 are men.
Among the 644 X-ray Technicians, 135 are women and 511 are men.
The department has also posted 24 Pharmacists. This follows the earlier posting of 846 Pharmacists, taking the total number of posted Pharmacists to 870.
The Health Department said the additional personnel will help improve the quality, efficiency and speed of healthcare services. The availability of X-ray and other diagnostic services is also expected to improve for patients.
NIC Software Used For Postings
According to the department, the posting process was carried out through a transparent and merit-based system. Software developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) was used for randomisation.
Candidates with disabilities were posted in their home districts wherever possible. The department also sought to post male and female candidates in nearby districts while taking their merit rankings into consideration.
Candidates Given One Month To Join
All the newly posted Dressers, X-ray Technicians and Pharmacists have been directed to report to their respective institutions within one month.
They will be required to bring their original educational and other necessary certificates for verification.
The Superintendent or Superintendent-cum-Chief Medical Officer of the respective institution will verify the certificates against the original records. Verification with the institutions that issued the certificates must also be completed, with the report submitted to the Health Department within three months.
Health Minister Congratulates New Appointees
Health Minister Nishant congratulated the newly appointed Dressers, X-ray Technicians and Pharmacists and said their roles would be important in strengthening the state’s healthcare system.
He said the government’s objective was to ensure quality, accessible and timely healthcare services by providing adequate human resources across government health institutions.
Nishant expressed confidence that the newly appointed personnel would perform their duties with dedication and responsibility and contribute to improving healthcare services for patients.
