Patna: The Bihar government has posted 11 officers from the 2025 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) as assistant collectors-cum-assistant magistrates across various districts, according to a notification issued by the General Administration Department.
The officers have recently completed the first phase of their training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
According to the notification, Raj Krishna Jha has been posted in East Champaran (Motihari), Ankur Tripathi in Vaishali (Hajipur), Saurabh Sinha in Muzaffarpur and Farkhanda Qureshi in Buxar.
Kumud Mishra has been appointed in Purnia, Ketan Shukla in Saharsa, Kalpana Rawat in Darbhanga, Nilesh Goyal in Gaya, Prince Raj in Nawada, Amit Meena in Bhojpur and Deepak Kumar in Patna.
Trainee Officers Receive Election Training
Separately, 12 trainee IAS officers from the 2024 batch have undergone specialised training on electoral processes.
The sessions were conducted by Bihar’s chief electoral officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal, covering key aspects such as electoral roll management, voter list purification, legal provisions and eligibility criteria.
Trainees were also introduced to digital tools including ECI-Net and programmes related to voter awareness. The training provided detailed insights into the conduct of elections, including notification procedures, nomination filing, scrutiny and withdrawal of candidatures, symbol allocation and district-level election management planning.
New Appointment In Census Operations
In a separate development, Ranjita has been appointed as the director of census operations (citizen registration) for Bihar under the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
Officials said the postings and training initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative capacity and governance in the state.
