Muzaffarpur/Patna: Bihar Industries and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh has said the state government is developing an integrated digital system for the industries department to ensure that all information related to entrepreneurs is available on a single portal.
Speaking during a visit to the Muzaffarpur industrial area, the minister said the move is aimed at improving coordination among departments and reducing procedural difficulties faced by industrial units.
Single platform for entrepreneur data
Singh said Bihar already has a single-window system in place for industrial approvals, but entrepreneurs continue to face challenges because departments are not fully connected through a common technical framework.
She said the proposed integrated system would enable all relevant information about entrepreneurs to be accessed through one platform.
According to the minister, the department will be able to track operational industrial units, subsidy allocations and pending dues more efficiently once the system is implemented.
Review process underway
Singh said the project is currently in its initial phase and would be reviewed regularly as it progresses.
During her visit, she interacted with entrepreneurs in the industrial area and heard their concerns regarding operations and administration.
Push to attract investment
The minister said the state government is continuing efforts to attract outside investors and encourage the establishment of new industrial units in Bihar.
She added that the impact of these initiatives would become visible in the coming years.
Visit to industrial clusters
Singh also inspected a production shed operated by Jeevika women’s self-help groups and reviewed their work.
She visited the bag cluster and textile cluster in the area, where entrepreneurs informed her that bags and ready-made garments produced there are being sold in major malls across the country.
The minister said the government would work to further accelerate these activities.
