Patna: The Bihar government has carried out a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring five IPS officers and eight Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), according to an official notification issued by the Home Department.
The postings involve changes in key administrative and operational roles across districts and specialised units, including cyber crime, security, and law and order divisions.
IPS-Level Changes
Aditya Kumar, a 2011-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-14 in Patna. He has also been given additional charge as Superintendent of Police in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He was previously serving in the CID.
Sanjay Singh, a 1997-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Additional Director General (ADG) of Police (Security). He will also hold additional charge of ADG for Budget, Appeals and Welfare.

Anand Kumar, a 2012-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Security) and has been given additional responsibility for Law and Order. He was earlier posted in the same department.
Change in Navgachia SP
Rajesh Kumar, a 2016-batch IPS officer, has been posted as Superintendent of Police in the Cyber Investigation and Economic Offences Unit.
Vaibhav Sharma, a 2018-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Navgachia. He was earlier serving in the Cyber and Economic Offences Unit.

DSP-Level Transfers
Eight DSPs have also been transferred to new postings across Bihar.
Gaurav Kumar has been appointed SDPO-2, Purnia (Sadar), while Anupesh Narayan will serve as SDPO, Nirmali in Supaul district. Gopal Krishna has been posted as SDPO, Mohania in Kaimur.
Other DSP-level postings have been made across several districts and units as part of the administrative reshuffle.
Officials said the changes are aimed at strengthening policing efficiency and improving coordination across key units and districts in the state.
