Patna: Bihar government has launched live-streamed coaching classes for NEET and JEE aspirants in 10 model schools in Patna, aiming to provide students with access to competitive exam preparation without the need for private coaching institutes.
The initiative is part of the Education Department’s “Advanced Education – Bright Future” programme under the Saat Nischay-3 (2025–30) scheme. It seeks to improve access to quality education through technology-driven learning in government schools.
Live Classes Begin in 10 Patna Schools
The live classes were inaugurated on Thursday by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Students enrolled in the programme can either attend sessions at the designated schools or join them remotely from their homes through live streaming.
According to the Education Department, the initiative is designed to support high school and intermediate students preparing for medical and engineering entrance examinations by providing structured coaching free of cost.
Statewide Expansion Planned
Under the Advanced Education – Bright Future scheme, the government has selected 544 schools to function as Saraswati Vidya Niketan (Model Schools). The network includes all district schools and one higher secondary school from every administrative block across Bihar.
In addition, 155 existing government and government-aided schools will be upgraded under the programme to strengthen infrastructure and improve the quality of education.
The department said the initiative is intended to ensure that students in both urban and rural areas have access to quality learning opportunities closer to their homes, reducing the need to relocate or travel for entrance exam preparation.
