Patna: Commuters in Patna will now be able to check traffic conditions before stepping out, following the launch of a new digital initiative by the Patna Traffic Police aimed at reducing travel delays and helping motorists avoid congested routes.
The traffic police have transformed their official Facebook page into a real-time information platform, where updates on road conditions, traffic diversions and other travel advisories will be shared regularly.
Real-Time Traffic Information
Under the initiative, commuters can access live updates on traffic congestion across major roads in the city before starting their journey. The system is intended to help people choose alternative routes whenever heavy traffic is reported.
According to officials, the platform will also provide timely information on road closures, diversions and disruptions caused by special events or other circumstances.
Updates On VIP Movement And Road Diversions
Traffic Superintendent of Police Sagar Jha said the Facebook page will carry regular updates on traffic jams, sudden road closures, traffic diversions and movement-related restrictions associated with VIP visits.
He urged residents to follow the official Facebook page to stay informed about changing traffic conditions and make better travel decisions.
Public Encouraged To Use The Service
The Traffic SP also appealed to citizens to share the updates with family members, friends and colleagues so that more people can benefit from the service.
Officials believe the initiative will help commuters save time, reduce unnecessary congestion and make daily travel across the city more convenient.
