Hajipur: In a major step aimed at improving grassroots grievance redressal and public service delivery, the Vaishali district administration has announced the launch of special ‘Sahyog Camps’ at the panchayat level across the district.
The initiative, announced under the leadership of District Magistrate Varsha Singh, will be conducted on the first and third Tuesdays of every month following directives issued by the Bihar Government.
According to the district administration, the complete schedule of camps from May 19 to October 20 has already been released. Deputy Development Commissioner Kundan Kumar has been appointed as the nodal officer for the smooth implementation and monitoring of the programme.
The administration said the initiative is designed to ensure that residents can resolve their grievances and access government services within their villages without travelling to the district headquarters.
Officials said applications for grievances and service-related issues will be accepted one month before the scheduled camp dates to facilitate timely resolution. On the day of the camp, concerned officials will remain present at the venue and provide written updates to applicants regarding the action taken on their complaints.
To ensure transparency and proper monitoring, all applications submitted during the camps will also be uploaded to an online portal.
The district administration further stated that the Health Department will arrange free medical services at every camp site. In addition, special information counters, posters and banners will be installed to create awareness about various government welfare schemes and public services.
District Magistrate Varsha Singh has directed all officials to work with sensitivity and accountability to ensure immediate relief and faster resolution of public grievances at the local level itself.
The initiative is expected to strengthen rural governance, improve accessibility to government services and reduce the burden on district-level offices by decentralising grievance redressal mechanisms.
