Patna: The Road Construction Department has cleared the repair of 13 roads across Patna district, with projects worth approximately Rs 9.70 crore scheduled for execution during the 2026-27 financial year.
Officials said the works would be completed within 30 days under the supervision of the Executive Engineer of the Patna City Road Division.
The department stated that the projects were aimed at improving road conditions and easing traffic congestion in Patna City and adjoining areas.
Major Road Repair Projects Approved
According to the approved plan, repair work will be undertaken on several important stretches across the district.
The projects include:
- Punadih-Bairiya road via Ranipur Paijawa from NH-30 four-lane highway (6.10km) at a cost of Rs 79.53 lakh
- Ilahibagh to Dumping Yard road along Patna-Gaya SH-1 (4.75km) at Rs 1.86 crore
- Bypass Police Station to Patna Protection Embankment via Marcha-Marchi (9.02km) at Rs 53.74 lakh
Additional Key Corridors to Be Repaired
The department also approved:
- Ashokchak-Nandlal Chapra Mor to SPM Road via Krishna Niketan (2.43km) at Rs 1.45 crore
- Agamkuan Pahari Road to Old Bypass via Trilok Nagar (1.11km) at Rs 33.72 lakh
- Chhoti-Badi Pahari Musahari Road (1.90km) at Rs 62.42 lakh
Other sanctioned projects include:
- Marcha-Marchi road from NH-30 Bypass via Ranipur Chakia (2.50km) at Rs 62.84 lakh
- Karmalichak to Patna Protection Embankment via Mirzapur, Chitma, Gauharpur and Mahuli including link road (8.40km) at Rs 1.32 crore
Repairs Planned in Didarganj, Jaganpura and Begampur
Additional road repairs will include:
- Begampur-Daulatpur Road (1.80km) at Rs 27.70 lakh
- Old NH-30 at Didarganj (0.90km) at Rs 42.50 lakh
- Maujipur to Daulatpur Road (4km) at Rs 56.50 lakh
- Patna New Bypass from Jaganpura Mor to Chipura Khurd (6.30km) at Rs 58.34 lakh
- Biscomaun Roundabout-Vikas Colony Road (1.60km) at Rs 28.82 lakh
Tender Process Underway
Officials said the tender process for all 13 projects had already begun.
Authorities added that the repairs were expected to improve daily commuting conditions, facilitate smoother traffic flow and strengthen connectivity across several densely populated localities in Patna district.
